Sapphire Entertainment Announces Its Film Production Line-up for 2007

The 1st African American-Owned Film and Television Studio and Distribution Company Prepares for Its First Theatrical Release

CHICAGO, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Sapphire Entertainment is set to begin principal photography on several original feature films, all stories created by its CEO, Andrea Allen. One of the first films scheduled for principal photography in June 2007 is "Lethal Injection," an action thriller based in the 1970's around two unsuspecting friends, Ray and Sean, that are given jobs within the CIA and unknowingly used as experiments for a "chemical war weapon," a virus known today as AIDS. Ray was also injected with the cure. Ray finds himself on the run after the death of his friend, the first AIDS victim in the world. The agency is out to capture Ray or his son for access to the cure because the program has been dismissed, the virus has spread and the doctor is murdered. Scheduled for a worldwide release date of Nov. 30 in honor of World AIDS Day, some of the proceeds from the film will be donated to HIV awareness and prevention.

Other features are "Black Bird," a story capturing the intense emotions of pain, betrayal, jealousy, joy and faith of the Jackson family trying to survive and remain close in an urban community after a shocking tragedy happens that can destroy the entire family. "Unlucky-In-Love," a story about Amy, a shy young lady who has never dated a guy, finds herself having the eye of the most eligible bachelor in the office, Adam. Her diva boss has noticed Adam's attraction to Amy and has targeted him for herself, so she sets up some embarrassing moments for Amy. Amy is faced with a decision, come out of her shell and get the man of her dreams, thus, risking losing her job or letting her boss win ... let the games begin!

"These are a few entertaining films in our line up that are sure to leave our audience with an emotional experience that makes them laugh, cry and feel the emotions of our characters and their story, which is the overall goal of movie making at Sapphire. If we can't leave our audience with a good experience, we have not done our job well," says Andrea.
