Rock-And-Roll Legend Will Be Able to Perform Again After Big Court Case
News Conference, Tomorrow
LONG ISLAND
MINEOLA, N.Y., December 7, 2006 - Rock-and-Roll legend Jay Black, former lead singer of Jay and the Americans, who has sold millions of records, will hold a special news conference, tomorrow, with his lawyer, noted civil rights attorney Lenard Leeds, to announce a major judicial victory that lets the singer and Rock-and-Roll icon perform again in concert as he gets to retain his name that was lost in bankruptcy proceedings.
Jay Black's music career ground to a halt when a U.S. Bankruptcy Court ordered the singer to relinquish his name. Jay Black was one of the most popular singers of the 1960's and 1970's in the United States. His recordings, ''This Magic Moment," "Only in America," "Come A Little Bit Closer" and "Cara Mia," were blockbuster hits selling millions of records and soaring to the top of the charts. Jay is a longtime New York native and still sells out venues, nationwide.
