NEW TIME FOR SATELLITE FEED: B-Roll and Photo Alert: Keystone Ski Resort Kicks Off 36-hour Ski and Snowboard Event With New Snow, Today, Dec. 1

Thanks to more than a foot of snow this week, Keystone plans to open 278 acres of new hike-to expert terrain in Independence Bowl just for this weekend -- a few weeks earlier than expected

WHAT: Keystone's celebrating its 36th anniversary with one of the
most unique events in the industry -- The third annual 36
Hours of Keystone Dec. 1-2. Ski or ride at 3 a.m. or 3 p.m.,
the mountain will be open for 36 continuous hours.

* The 36 Hour Team Challenge offers teams of skiers and
riders a chance to compete for $3,600. Teams must complete
one lap every hour for all 36 hours of the event.

* New this year, the 36 Hours of Music features 18 live bands
that will perform for 36 nonstop hours

* Other 36-hour events include a ski and snowboard demo, a
film fest and the grand finale fireworks

WHERE: River Run, Keystone, Colo.

WHEN: 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1 - 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2

OTHER INFO: Proceeds for the event benefit The Keystone Science School
and the Keystone Adaptive Center, which is part of the
Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center. Keystone will have a
security checkpoint prior to loading the lifts in River Run.
