Snow Patrol, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Jet, Lindsey Buckingham, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Little Big Town All Join MHD: Music High-Definition Channel Line-Up That Also Features Exclusive Music Content from MTV, VH1 and CMT
NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- MHD: Music High-Definition today announced that the MTV Networks' high-definition channel will premiere a new concert every week through the end of the year. In addition, the channel will continue to air high-definition music programming from MTV, VH1 and CMT, exclusive concert premieres, and acquired concerts.
MHD's concert premieres include:
* CMT Giants: Reba McEntire, premiering Saturday, November 18 at 8pm ET/PT
on CMT and simulcast on MHD
* The 2006 MTV European Music Awards, premiering Saturday, November 25 at
9pm ET/PT
* CMT Crossroads: Lindsey Buckingham and Little Big Town, premiering
Saturday, December 2 at 9pm ET/PT on CMT and simulcast on MHD
* Life & Rhymes: Snoop Dogg, premiering Saturday, December 9 at 9pm ET/PT
* Summer Fest: Lynyrd Skynyrd, premiering December 16 at 9pm ET/PT
* Isle of Wight Festival: Snow Patrol and Jet, premiering December 23 at
9pm ET/PT

Launched in January 2006, MHD features high-definition performances, music videos, interviews, tentpole events, music festivals, concert series, special concerts, and other music related elements. Programming includes MTV Unplugged: Ricky Martin, VH1 Storytellers: Dave Matthews Band, CMT Crossroads: Vince Gill and Allison Krauss, John Fogerty: The Long Road Home, the Isle of Wight Festival: The Who and David Bowie, and music videos from artists ranging from Cream to Green Day and Rascal Flatts, among others.
In addition, MHD has begun simulcasting tent pole events from MTV, VH1, and CMT, including this year's VH1 Rock Honors, VH1 Hip Hop Honors Awards, MTV's Video Music Awards, and CMT Giants: Reba McIntyre. More are planned for the future.
MHD is already in half of the U.S. homes that have high-definition capability and is distributed through deals with Cox Cable, Charter, Comcast, Insight and Verizon FiOS.
