1. Develop a routine and stick with it.
2. Remember you are your child's role model - be calm, positive and
nurturing.
3. Don't talk AT your children - listen to them.
4. Don't argue in front of the children.
5. Don't hit.
6. Ask your child only twice: once nicely then once firmly. If ignored,
follow through with appropriate consequence.
7. Don't shout - let your face and body language convey authority.
8. Let your child be a child - to develop and learn from you.
