Tri-C West Presents Annual Holiday Benefit Concert and Carol-Sing

Three groups to be featured in December 3 performance

PARMA, Ohio, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Music Department of Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus will present its annual Holiday Benefit Concert and Carol-Sing Sunday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Western Campus Theatre, 11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma.

Three musical groups will perform in concert: The Western Campus Jazz Big Band, the Western Campus Chorale, and the Afro-Cuban Percussion Ensemble (based at Tri-C's Eastern Campus in Highland Hills). Holiday favorites from Buxtehude and Bach to Harry Belafonte and Bing Crosby will be among the numerous musical selections. A flute ensemble will entertain in the lobby of the Western Campus Theatre prior to the performance.

Tickets will be available at the door only, and are $8 for general admission and $6 for students and seniors, with half off each ticket when payment is accompanied by a plastic bag of canned or non-perishable food items. A $25 maximum price is available for all two-generation families. All canned goods and non-perishable food items will be donated directly to Greater Cleveland Area Hunger Centers, while the other concert proceeds will be shared by Laura's Home of the Cleveland City Mission and the Tri-C Music Club Scotland Tour Fund.

Opened in 1963, Cuyahoga Community College is Ohio's first community college and now the state's largest, serving 55,000 students each year. More than 700,000 county residents have come through Tri-C's doors. The college offers two-year associate degrees, certificate programs, and the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. The curriculum includes over 1,600 credit courses in more than 130 career, certificate and university transfer programs. Courses are offered at three campus locations, two Corporate College(R) facilities, many off-campus sites, and via television and the Internet.
