KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Twelve acclaimed thought leaders representing such diverse categories as home, garden, design, architecture, real estate, technology, lifestyle, product development and media trends, will provide strategic counsel, ideas and industry insights as members of the newly-formed HGTV TrendSmart Advisory Board. Executives at HGTV, a top-rated Scripps Networks lifestyle television brand currently available in more than 91 million U.S. households, will meet with board members semimonthly to discuss audience and industry trends, content across multiple platforms and brand and business strategy.
The industry influencers serving on the HGTV TrendSmart Advisory Board include: Tristan Butterfield, Interior Design and Brand Strategy, Kohler, Wis. and United Kingdom; Jon Carloftis, Landscape Design, Erwinna, Pa.; Barbara Corcoran, Real Estate, New York, N.Y.; Ilyce R. In fact, several of the ideas the advisory board members contributed are already under management review. In addition to tapping into the expertise of the advisory board to help determine future strategies, HGTV will review findings culled from a national consumer research panel of more than 5,500 cable and satellite viewers.
"As an evolving brand, we have an ongoing need to stay ahead of emerging industry and lifestyle trends and consumer behaviors that will influence our network's future growth," said Judy Girard, president, HGTV. "This impressive group of experts has outstanding credentials and already has demonstrated that their experience, insights and counsel will be invaluable as we continue to build the HGTV brand and work to deliver programming and content that meets the needs of our viewers."
