They Sang the Jingle ... Now, Who Will Be a Star? America's Vote Helps Decide!

Five Lucky Winners to Appear in Nationally Televised Oscar Mayer Commercial

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousands of Oscar Mayer fans sang their buns off in hopes of winning Oscar Mayer's cross country talent search this year, and 20 finalists cut the mustard to make it to the next level. Now, Oscar Mayer is asking America to log on to http://www.singthejingle.com/ to cast their vote to help decide which of the finalists will star in a nationally televised Oscar Mayer commercial.

The world famous Oscar Mayer WIENERMOBILE vehicles spent the summer cruising coast-to-coast, giving Oscar Mayer fans a chance to enter the Oscar Mayer Sing the Jingle, Be a Star contest. Eager songsters were asked to sing their own rendition of the Oscar Mayer Wiener Jingle(C), the Bologna Song(C) or the Oscar Mayer Spanish Jingle(C) to land a spot in the limelight. Fans also could enter by submitting a videotape or DVD of their rendition by mail.

Let the Voting Begin ...

From October 26 - November 27, 2006, twenty finalists' renditions, selected by a panel of judges, will be posted online at http://www.singthejingle.com/ (16 performed in English and four performed in Spanish). During this time, people can log on to vote for their favorite jingle contest entry or to find additional details on how to vote via cell phone, by ballot at the Wienermobile vehicles, which will visit the finalists' hometowns throughout the voting phase, or by mail. All voters have a chance to instantly win one of 66 iPod(C) Shuffles.

America's votes, along with input from a panel of judges, will narrow the pool of 20 finalists to five grand prize winners, four who performed in English and one who performed in Spanish. Each winner will receive the chance to appear in a nationally televised Oscar Mayer commercial, $5,000 cash prize and a trip to the TV commercial taping location.
