During Election Season, PBS's Emmy Award-Winning Series 'Independent Lens' Showcases Democracy in Action, Here and Abroad
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- This November, as Americans turn their attention to elections and our democratic process, Independent Lens will premiere three new documentaries that explore some of the issues that define a democratic society - freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and community involvement. The two-time Emmy Award-winning series, which airs on Tuesday nights at 10PM (check local listings) is hosted this season by Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard. The November lineup is:

Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Los Angeles Times editorial cartoonist Paul Conrad has drawn and quartered 11 presidents in a remarkable career spanning half a century. Narrated by Tom Brokaw, PAUL CONRAD: DRAWING FIRE pays tribute to a legendary journalist and artist who epitomizes the fiercely independent voice that has been vanishing from American news media in recent years.
