NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- COMEDY CENTRAL is exposing broadband viewers to a whole new kind of comedy! The all-comedy network's Web site will debut two broadband series that are sure to get a rise out of its users. "Baxter & McGuire" and "Good God" are the latest broadband series to join comedycentral.com's growing slate of original shows, it was announced today by Lou Wallach, senior vice president, original programming and development, COMEDY CENTRAL.

"With the launch of 'Baxter & McGuire' and 'Good God,' COMEDY CENTRAL is solidifying its place as the premiere destination for original broadband comedy programming," said Wallach. "These two new series are examples of the talent community reaching out to us to create innovative, irreverent short- form programming for the digital consumer. It is truly a compliment to the strength of the COMEDY CENTRAL brand on all platforms."

"Baxter & McGuire," written and created by Michael J. Weithorn, creator of "The King of Queens" and writer/actor/dancer Nick Bakay, is an animated buddy- comedy that chronicles the adventures of Baxter and McGuire, the closest of pals who never leave each other's side. They also just happen to be testicles. The broadband series was directed by Mike Blum (animated CG short films "The Zit," "Oil & Vinegar") and will run over eight weeks beginning on November 6.

Each week, comedycentral.com viewers will follow Baxter and McGuire as they grapple with the myriad issues those of their ilk must face including (please note: the pop-up blocker may need to be disabled in order for the associated links to function properly):

* "Yer Out" -- Baxter and McGuire slowly creep out of their owner's shorts
during an outing to Shea Stadium, hoping to catch some sun and a glance
at the game.

COMEDY CENTRAL is also going behind-the-scenes in God's office with the premiere of "Good God," which has a six-episode order. "Good God" is a live action comedy, a la "The Office," revolving around God's workplace environment. Beginning on October 26, comedycentral.com viewers will be taken into the inner sanctuary of God and his staff (Gabriel -- Associate Archangel, Heidi -- Angel of Heavenly Affairs, Michael -- Managing Archangel and Death - Angel of Death) as they interact in storylines such as:

* "Status Meeting" -- God and his co-workers debate terrorists and funny
hat day.

* "Office Pool" -- God and his co-workers bet on their annual "office
pool," in this case, "the death pool."
