Azteca Producer and On-Air Talent Pati Chapoy to Give Opening Address for Latin Emmys

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the fastest growing Hispanic television network in the US, is pleased to announce that the legendary entertainment news host and entertainment producer Pati Chapoy will be giving the opening address for this year's Latin Emmys, to be held in New York on Thursday, Oct. 19.

Mrs. Chapoy has hosted Azteca's hit entertainment news show Ventaneando, the pioneer of the genre in Latin America, for over a decade.

The Emmys are also expected to recognize Latino talent such as Mexican filmmaker Fernando Arau, and Mexican novela star Lucero, among others.

Mrs. Chapoy launches an all-new exclusive weekday program Ventaneando America for Azteca America starting today at 7 pm / 6 pm CST. The show features the seasoned team of Pati Chapoy, Pedro Sola, Monica Garza, Daniel Bisogno, Atala Sarmiento and Ines Gomez Mont in a similar format as the classic version. However, the segments will all be focused on the US Latino entertainment world and entirely on programs that are aired on US networks.

In the past, Azteca America has successfully aired the classic version with the final segments dedicated to the US Hispanic market.
