Actors 'Fast Track' Program Gives New Hope to Struggling Actors Worldwide

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Independent Film Center begins production on a new series of short films which will begin airing on Vancouver City TV, with one minute promo segments. These films are part of a new Actors "fast track" program launched in Vancouver, BC to showcase talent. The program, which details can be found at www.bcactor.com , is the "brainchild" of Independent Film Producer Brian Leslie, who has operated the Independent Film Center for nearly eight years in Vancouver.

"The program is designed for seasoned Actors or those who have little or no training but need film experience with a broadcast credit," says Leslie. All of our film projects are shot on 35mm film with Directors, Producers and Crew who have been working in the Industry for some time. "We are not an acting school, we only provide the experience and broadcast credit necessary to obtain a good agent or better future acting roles," says Leslie. The company, however, will provide an acting coach for those who require it.

The frustration for most Actors is common. Spending thousands of dollars over years on training, headshots and living expenses only to find in some cases, no hope at the end of the tunnel. The segments are broadcast in such a way that the viewing audience thinks it is a "teaser" for an upcoming film but at the end it sends viewers to a web site where the longer version of the film is streamed. On the web site is a bio of the Actors, Directors and Producers.

"The first program sold out within days," says Leslie. "We have people traveling over 1000 miles to get this experience." The program is open to anyone GLOBALLY and carries a modest price tag of $575.00 CND.
