USA TODAY and ABC News' Good Morning America to Reveal the Seven New Wonders of the World
MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- In an unprecedented global event, USA TODAY is teaming up with ABC News' Good Morning America to take readers and viewers to the Seven New Wonders of the World, as chosen by a panel of top international experts.
The Seven New Wonders of the World will be revealed over nine consecutive weekdays from November 9 through 17, in USA TODAY, on USATODAY.com and on Good Morning America, where readers and viewers will learn where, why and what makes the new wonders special and unique. Good Morning America's anchors -- Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Chris Cuomo and Sam Champion, along with Weekend anchors Bill Weir and Kate Snow -- will report from around the world and broadcast daily from the new wonders.
Starting tomorrow, USA TODAY readers and Good Morning America viewers are invited to go online at travel.usatoday.com to vote for an Eighth Wonder from a list of eight runners up -- places that received high scores from the experts, but didn't make the winners' list. Voting will last until November 6. Based on the public's choice, the Eighth Wonder will be revealed in USA TODAY, Good Morning America, USATODAY.com and abcnews.go.com/GMA on November 24.
For full details, see tomorrow's USA TODAY, log on to USATODAY.com and abcnews.go.com/GMA and watch Good Morning America.
On USATODAY.com, additional coverage will include:
* An interactive map with illustrations and profiles of the original
ancient seven wonders.
* Profiles and photographs of each of the candidates for the Eighth
Wonder, accessible as readers cast their vote
* An archive with descriptions of each of the New Wonders as they are
announced, culminating in the announcement of the Eighth Wonder on
November 24.
