Minnesota Film & TV Board Adds Production Services Manager; Chris Grap Brings Major Studio Feature Experience

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Christopher Grap has joined the Minnesota Film & TV Board as its new production services manager. He will ensure that Minnesota communities hosting films have a good experience and that production companies working in the state experience world-class service and support.

"Chris is uniquely qualified to help Minnesota regain A-list location status," said Lucinda Winter, Minnesota Film and TV Board executive director. "He has studio feature experience so he understands major studio customer service expectations. But he's a Midwesterner at heart who shares my vision of making Minnesota a regional center for film and television."

Originally from LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Grap worked in the film and television industry in Los Angeles from 1998 to 2004. Most recently, he was the production coordinator on A Prairie Home Companion and worked on location in Minnesota. In 2004, he was production coordinator for Wedding Crashers. He has also worked on hits including Bad Santa and The Rules of Attraction and for major studios including Disney, Lion's Gate, Universal, Miramax and HBO Films.

"Chris coordinated Wedding Crashers for us and from the very beginning of prep, I could tell he was one of the most professional, conscientious and organized production coordinators I'd ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with," said Emily Glatter, vice president, production administration for New Line Productions, Inc. "The Minnesota Film & TV Board is very lucky to have Chris as part of their team and I know he will prove to be not only a terrific production services manager but also a perfect liaison for LA-based production companies working in Minnesota on movies and on television," Glatter added.

"The reinstatement of Snowbate -- our production incentive -- makes us a strong contender again in the production marketplace," said Grap. "I'm looking forward to making Minnesota as film-friendly as possible and showcasing the state's unique features, deep talent pool and hard-working crew."
