Former Local News Anchor Joins QVC As Newest Program Host

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC, Inc. announces that former news anchor Sandra Bennett has been selected as its newest program host. Bennett will spend approximately six months participating in intensive host training, which includes learning about QVC's products and sales strategy. Once she transitions to a full-time role, Bennett will be responsible for providing product information and demonstrations for the channel's live 24-hour programming.

Bennett was discovered during a Program Host Audition held at QVC in March. Nearly 500 auditioners showed up to vie for the position.

Bennett came to QVC with an extensive background in writing, publishing and news reporting. She spent the past three years ghostwriting on the topics of health, beauty and fitness. Bennett was a news anchor and reporter for approximately 10 years, most recently at Philadelphia's WCAU, an NBC affiliate.

Bennett received her bachelor's degree in English Writing/Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
