Tribune Interactive Names Kara Walsh Metromix General Manager

CHICAGO, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tribune Interactive (TI), a subsidiary of Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB), today announced that Kara Walsh has been named general manager/Metromix, effective immediately. In this newly created position, Walsh will oversee strategy, development, operations and interactive sales for the Metromix network of entertainment information websites, which currently serves Chicago, Baltimore and Orlando.

Walsh most recently served as vice president of Village Voice Digital, where she led the content, web operations, advertising sales, marketing and business management functions for the online edition of the alternative weekly newspaper in New York, and managed the strategy and business planning for the associated network of 17 websites.

Prior to joining Village Voice Digital, Walsh's experience included work with TV Guide as director of new business marketing, British Sky Broadcasting as Head of Customer Loyalty Marketing, and The Coca-Cola Company as Associate Brand Manager/New Business Initiatives.
