Franklin Roosevelt: President, New Deal Maker, Drinking Buddy?
When it comes to Oktoberfest this fall, all one lucky contest winner needs is a pair of lederhosen and three beer-loving friends. Jay Pearcy of Malvern, Pennsylvania., has won the "Who Would You Have a Beer With?" consumer contest sponsored by "Here's To Beer," the industry development effort led by Anheuser-Busch. His essay, about the prospect of toasting with the man responsible for the repeal of Prohibition, earned him a trip for four to the ultimate destination for beer lovers -- Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Bet on the First NFL Coaching Casualty at PinnacleSports.com
Each NFL off-season sees a number of coaching changes and this year is no different as ten teams enter the 2006 campaign with a new head coach calling the shots. With the regular season kicking off next week, all thirty-two franchises will have Super Bowl aspirations, but once some teams fail to meet pre-season expectations, several coaches will inevitably find themselves in "the hot seat," with fans and the media calling for their jobs. Knowing that job security for professional coaches is volatile at best, PinnacleSports-dot- com has announced odds on which current NFL head coach will be the first to be fired, resign or otherwise leave their post. Leading the pack is San Diego's Marty Schottenheimer at six-to-one odds due to a lack of public and front office support, and Tennessee's Jeff Fisher at seven-to-one.
