Borders(R) to Open Store in Albany, N.Y.

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Borders will open a 24,000- square-foot store in Albany, N.Y., Saturday, Aug. 26. The new store will be in the Crossgates Mall, located at 1 Crossgates Mall Road.

The new site was selected based on a variety of factors, including consumer demographics, the strength of the co-tenants, traffic patterns, the availability of parking, visibility and the overall attractiveness of the new site. The Albany store will be the second Borders store to open in that city and the 26th store to open in the state of New York. In addition to the new store in Albany, Borders plans to open a store in Manhattan's Two Penn Plaza.
