The Weather Channel Decodes July's Record Heat
Who: Dr. Heidi Cullen, climatologist for The Weather Channel and host of
"The Climate Code with Dr. Heidi Cullen," premiering October 1,
2006.
What: Dr. Cullen will review the record heat of July 2006 and examine how
it relates to global warming.
When: Monday, July 31 during Evening Edition from 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. ET.
More: Across the country and around the globe, temperatures have soared
as July continues the trend set during the first six months of the
year, which was the warmest such period on record in the
continental U.S. Across America, the heat has affected everyone,
from major cities to the farms of the heartland. Overseas, record
highs have given rise to concerns of a repeat of the deadly 2003
heat wave that killed thousands.
