Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, on July 26, 2006. RV Pile-Up

On April 7th, SPE announced the release of "RV Pile-Up," a free BlackBerry mobile game built to promote their family blockbuster comedy, "RV," starring Robin Williams, in theaters April 28th. (Visit www.REGARD.com for links to original press releases and other related announcements.) "The movie touches on themes of staying connected to both family and ... to work obligations, by using technology like BlackBerry," said Dwight Caines, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Digital Marketing, Columbia TriStar Marketing Group. "We thought this game would be a fun way to reflect those concepts in our digital marketing campaign."

REGARD was selected by SPE to spearhead the RV game development. "We are reputed for our ability to extend applications to popular handhelds," said Steve Beauregard, President & Founder of REGARD. "SPE recognized that this game was strategically as important to their movie marketing efforts as any other business-critical application would be to a corporate user."

REGARD guided gaming partner, Microforum, in developing this unique gaming concept. As the first BlackBerry game ever developed in conjunction with a motion picture, "RV Pile-Up" proved that it is indeed one of the most innovative digital applications of 2006, earning more than 40,000 downloads from BlackBerry handheld users worldwide (72xx, 75xx, 77xx, 71xx and 8700 series) and is played in 6 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese).
