The Top 25 Inventions of 2006 are Coming to New York's Grand Central Terminal!

Grand Prize Winner of National Inventor's Competition to be Revealed

What: The History Channel(R) and Invent Now(R) Inc., a subsidiary of the
National Inventors Hall of Fame(R) (NIHF) Foundation, are bringing
the Modern Marvels Invent Now Challenge exhibition to Grand
Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall from May 22-26th. The Modern
Marvels Invent Now Challenge is a national competition that
provides an opportunity for independent inventors to be recognized
and to influence the ever-changing face of invention.

The top 25 inventions represent the competition's semi-finalists,
who hail from 17 states across the U.S., range in age from 19 to
80 and were chosen from nearly 4,300 submissions entered.
Inventions cover a breadth of categories, including large-scale
construction techniques, household innovations, automotive
improvements, sporting goods, medical devices, animal-related
products and tools. The Modern Marvels Invent Now Challenge
interactive exhibition features an engaging display of images,
drawings and prototypes of the inventions.

From 9:00 a.m.- noon on May 24th, famed inventor Steve Wozniak
will host personal tours through the exhibit in which he will
introduce the semi-finalists, their inventions and share his
insights on innovation today.

Later that evening -- from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (same location),
Wozniak will announce the grand prize winner -- the 2006 Modern
Marvel of the Year. The winner and four finalists will also be
featured during Modern Marvels: Great Inventions Week on The
History Channel May 24-27th.
