AAA Predicts a Slight Increase in Memorial Day Travel
Travel will be up slightly this Memorial Day holiday despite high gas prices and increasing vacation costs, according to Triple-A. Triple-A estimates that thirty-seven-point-six million Americans will travel fifty miles or more from home this holiday, a zero-point-nine percent increase from last year.
Approximately thirty-one-point-four million travelers (eighty-four percent of all holiday travelers) expect to go by motor vehicle, a zero-point-seven percent increase from the thirty-one-point-two million who drove a year ago.

The Dixie Chicks have announced plans for their 2006 world tour, The Accidents and Accusations Tour. The North American leg of the tour, whose name comes from a line in "Easy Silence," a song off their highly anticipated album, Taking the Long Way, will kick off July 21st in Detroit, Michigan, and will run through early November.
