America Wants to Get Cannes'd With Antonio Banderas and Charlize Theron

America wants to go to the Cannes Film Festival, and they've got a date with a foreign hottie in mind.

According to a survey by Blockbuster Online, a majority of American movie lovers would like to attend the Cannes Film Festival in France, and they want to go on the arm of foreign favorites Antonio Banderas or Charlize Theron.

Antonio Banderas, the swarthy Spanish star of "Take the Lead" and "The Mask of Zorro" was the top pick among women for foreign fantasy date. British actor Orlando Bloom, made famous by his portrayal of golden-locked Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and Aussie Russell Crowe of "Gladiator" fame were other top choices for an escort to Cannes.

Men, undaunted by Charlize Theron's role as a man-hating serial killer in "Monster," chose the long-legged South African as their favorite for fantasy Cannes date. Mexican star Salma Hayek, who has starred in "Desperado" and "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" with fellow fantasy date Banderas, was a close second, followed by Australian starlet Nicole Kidman.

However, Europeans in the five major markets are significantly less likely than their U.S. counterparts to say they are very or extremely likely to purchase a new vehicle with hybrid electric technology.
