Honey & The Lion and Diesel Get Ready to Tug Your Heart for Hunger

NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Honey & The Lion featuring Celeste Johnson and Denny Presley join Diesel in presenting SOULFOOD a musical event to fight hunger and benefit Second Harvest Food Bank on Friday night, June 9th at the Belcourt Theatre. The performance for the evening will feature both artists as well as a new acapella singing group who will be starting off the evening with soulful spirituals.

Celeste Johnson, daughter of noted guitarist Danny Johnson, brings her sweet sounds together with Denny Presley, Murfreesboro rock icon (Janie Grey, Old Union), and you will be in for a big surprise of Rock, Pop and Soul. With Lion size lyrics and great guitar work, their blend goes down just like honey to make you want more. Diesel hits the stage with acoustic sounds, which transport you to other times and into deeper places on a real journey to touch your soul like only a true songstress can do. "The rehearsals give you goosebumps and make you know you have hits with these two groups," said Anne Stokes, local songwriter.
