Boys & Girls Clubs of America Inducts Outstanding Alumni Into Hall of Fame at Centennial National Conference

Inductees to be Honored at Star-studded Red Carpet Reunion and Ceremony

WHAT:

Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) will induct six outstanding individuals and, for the first time, one group into its Alumni Hall of Fame during a special ceremony to be held on Thursday, May 4, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

The 2006 inductees include former CNN anchor Bernard Shaw; acclaimed author and former CEO Larry Bossidy; NFL stars Tony Gonzalez and Willie McGinest; Blockbuster Chairman/CEO John Antioco; MLB standout Dontrelle Willis; and members of Kool & The Gang.

A Red Carpet Reunion featuring Alumni Hall of Fame members will be a highlight of this year's Centennial National Conference. Additional celebrities and special guests also scheduled to walk the Red Carpet for photo opportunities and interviews include: Law & Order star Courtney B. Vance and wife, Oscar winning actress Angela Bassett; Academy Award winning actor Ben Affleck; MLB icon Yogi Berra; tennis celebrity Anna Kournikova; James Worthy, NBA legend; ESPN analyst and former MLB player Harold Reynolds; Academy Award winning screenwriter and actor Matt Damon; Olympic champions Jackie Joyner- Kersee and Bobby Kersee; American Idol and 2005 Alumni Hall of Fame inductee Ruben Studdard; and NFL star and BGCA alum Michael Vick.

All 11 inductees will be available for photo opportunities and interviews during the Red Carpet ceremony to be held prior to the ceremony.
