'Jagged Edge' in Stores Tuesday, May 9
NEW YORK, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The groundbreaking multi-platinum soul vocal quartet Jagged Edge will meet and greet the group's fans at two very special in-store appearances celebrating the May 9 release of Jagged Edge, the group's eagerly-awaited fifth album for Sony Urban Music/Columbia Records.
Jagged Edge will appear at FYE in Westfarms Mall in Farmington, Connecticut on Saturday, May 6, beginning at 5pm.
On May 9, the day Jagged Edge is released, the quartet will appear at Best Buy (Midtown Atlanta, 1210 Caroline Street NE) on Tuesday, May 9, beginning at 6pm.
Jagged Edge finds the group's members -- twin brothers Brandon Casey and Brian Casey, Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman -- at the top of their game after four previous gold and platinum albums, keeping alive the R&B traditions of heart-stopping soul ballads and roof-raising block parties.
Guest artists on the new Jagged Edge album include multiple Grammy-winning Best New Artist John Legend on "Season's Change," legendary R&B impresario Jermaine Dupri on "Stunnas," Reggaeton superstar Voltio on "So Amazing," Boyz N Da Hood's Big Duke on "Sexy American Girls," and emerging artists Bad Girl on "Crying Out."
Jagged Edge first exploded onto the urban contemporary music scene in 1998 with the group's debut album A Jagged Era, which established them as the "Kings of Hip-Hop/Soul." Jagged Edge's breakthrough second album, 2000's J.E. Heartbreak, achieved RIAA double-platinum status, driven in part by the singles "He Can't Love U," "Promise," and the smash "Let's Get Married." A year-and-a-half after its release, the album was still on the Billboard 200 album chart. The group's third album, 2001's platinum-certified Jagged Little Thrill featured the raucous signature hit "Where The Party At" (featuring Nelly) which reached #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Chart and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Jagged Edge's fourth album, Hard, debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart the week of its release in October 2003. Jagged Edge has earned ten gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA for the group's singles, albums and video.
