MPAA Chief Glickman to Keynote First Annual UMEC Professional Luncheon
LOS ANGELES, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Michigan Entertainment Coalition (UMEC) announced today that Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) Dan Glickman will keynote UMEC's first annual professional luncheon in West Hollywood. Glickman who heads the association made up of the major motion picture studios will address the challenges and opportunities that are facing the motion picture and television industry including the ever-changing business models and technological enhancements that affect content delivery and the creative filmmaking process.

UMEC's Professional Luncheon is held in conjunction with its annual screening, Above the Line: An Evening of New Michigan Short Films. The screening takes place at 7:30 p.m. on June 7, 2006 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California. In addition to honoring the best in up- and-coming Michigan filmmakers at the screening, UMEC will also present United Talent Agency founder Peter Benedek with its second annual Reel Wolverine Award.
