Sinclair Names Tim Mathis General Manager of WICS-TV/WICD-TV in Springfield/Champaign, IL

SPRINGFIELD/CHAMPAIGN, Ill., April 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:SBGI) announced that Tim Mathis has been named General Manager for WICS-TV (ABC 20) and WICD-TV (ABC 15) in Springfield/Champaign, Illinois. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, "Tim is a 15-year veteran of the television broadcasting business with experience in managing two station markets. Tim also has an extensive sales background that includes new business and website revenue development, which we look forward to employing at WICS and WICD."

Most recently and from 2005, Mr. Mathis served as Director of Sales for WNDY-TV, WISH-TV and WIIH-TV in Indianapolis, IN. From 2000 to 2005, he was General Sales Manager for WNDY-TV. Prior to that and from 1998, Mr. Mathis served as General Sales Manager of WFLI-TV in Chattanooga, TN. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Mathis held various other positions in television broadcasting including that of Local Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Account Executive. Mr. Mathis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Communication from Southern Illinois University.
