Paula Abdul Brings Star Spirit to QVC(R) With New Inspirational Jewelry Collection

WEST CHESTER, Pa., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed recording artist and American Idol judge Paula Abdul has a new title to add to her impressive resume - successful jewelry designer. Introducing her new Paula Abdul Jewelry Collection, Abdul is scheduled to appear live on QVC on Friday, April 21, 2006 in two one-hour shows airing at 1 AM and 9 PM ET.

Abdul originally began designing jewelry as gifts for her Idol ingenues. Inscribed with inspirational words and symbols, her pieces reflect the encouraging spirit and endearing positive attitude Abdul herself is known for. Working with QVC, Abdul is now offering her signature designs to a nationwide audience. The new collection consists of multiple charms, pendants, earrings and bracelets in a mix of textures and metals, many adorned with meaningful phrases.

"I've been blessed with the opportunity to watch so many talented artists follow their dreams and achieve things they never thought possible," says Abdul. "I wanted to give a piece of that hopeful spirit back to the world with fashionable keepsakes that are both inspiring and stylish. Bringing this collection to QVC is the realization of one of my own personal dreams and I am so excited."

Replicating Abdul's versatile, fresh sense of style, the Paula Abdul Jewelry Collection, created especially for QVC, ranges in price from approximately $20.00 to $90.00. Abdul will launch 26 pieces from the line in the April debut, with a follow-up show featuring additional items planned for May 2006. Both the 1 AM ET and 9 PM ET shows on April 21 are slated to be broadcast in front of a live studio audience from QVC's Studio Park headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

"Paula's fun-loving spirit and passion for motivating people to draw on their own positive energy is beautifully captured in her jewelry," says David Markstein, director of jewelry merchandising for QVC. "I've enjoyed working with Paula to bring this collection to QVC and am looking forward to seeing her connect with our customers as she debuts her new designs."

Launching on April 21, 2006, the Paula Abdul Jewelry Collection will be available through QVC at 800.345.1515 or http://www.qvc.com/.
