Leonardo DiCaprio Dedicates a Tree for Mother's Day
LOS ANGELES, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- This Mother's Day, actor Leonardo DiCaprio will be dedicating a grove of trees to honor his mother and grandmother through TreePeople's Gift of Life program. "Planting trees is a great way to say thank you to the mothers in our lives," says DiCaprio. "By joining forces with TreePeople -- on Mother's Day and every day -- we're helping reforest the decimated Southern California mountains," DiCaprio continues. "It's time to do what we can for the planet."
TreePeople's tree dedications provide a gift that lasts longer than cut flowers and is more original than a simple greeting card. TreePeople will send a personalized Mother's Day card or certificate announcing your unique gift, printed on tree-free paper with original artwork. A dedication of a single tree is $25 and a grove of five trees is $100.
"Mothers love tree dedications," says Andy Lipkis, TreePeople founder and president. "These gifts create a lasting difference in Southern California by helping restore forests impacted by wildfires, smog, drought, bark beetles and overuse. TreePeople plants trees for flood protection, to prevent and reverse water pollution, save energy, clean the air and combat global warming."
Last year alone, TreePeople planted 12,500 trees around Southern California. For more information about Mother's Day Tree Dedications or to order, call (818) 753-TREE or visit www.treepeople.org.
