CN8, The Comcast Network Receives 32 New England Emmy Nominations
Network Leads Honors in Interview Program, Arts and Entertainment and On-Camera Host Categories
BOSTON, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- CN8, The Comcast Network received 32 New England Emmy Award nominations at a ceremony held April 24. CN8 received the most nominations in the Interview or Discussion Program, Arts and Entertainment Program and On-Camera Talent-Host or Moderator categories, and attained the highest overall number of nominations for any cable network. With the addition of these honors, CN8 has now been recognized with 273 regional Emmy Award nominations since its inception in 1996.

CN8's primetime original programming including "It's Your Call with Lynn Doyle," "Money Matters Today," "Backstage with Barry Nolan," "Nitebeat" and "American Builder" were recognized with Emmy nominations. CN8's award-winning hosts were also honored for their achievements, including Lynn Doyle, Barry Nolan, Sara Edwards, Brian Gurry, John Carchedi, Chrissie Lavoie and Tim Estiloz.
For the second year in a row, CN8 will broadcast this year's New England Emmy award show on SUNDAY, June 11, 6:30-8:00 PM/ET. The Emmys will be held on Saturday, June 3, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center's Main Ballroom and will be emceed by Tom Bergeron, host of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Dancing with the Stars." CN8's special will highlight the evening's big winners, as well as the recipient of the prestigious Governor's Award.
