PARKERSBURG, W.Va., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Woodcraft Supply Corporation has entered into a multiyear agreement with Woodworking Media Ventures, Inc. to become the "Exclusive Retail Sponsor" of The Woodworking Channel(TM) (TWWC(TM)) -- the world's first Internet TV broadcast network for woodworkers, company officials announced.
Reed Smith, President and Co-Founder of TWWC(TM), said, "We are proud to partner with such a prestigious retailer. Woodcraft has been a leader in the woodworking industry for generations and they continue that leadership today by recognizing and helping to deliver a new, valuable resource for woodworkers worldwide."
Jeff Forbes, President of Woodcraft Supply Corporation, said, "This partnership provides a new and interactive venue in which to promote the Woodcraft brand and sell our products. The convergence of the Internet and television is rapidly occurring and we are excited to be an industry pioneer in this new realm."
Forbes explained that TWWC(TM) (http://thewoodworkingchannel.com/) will be the home of the highest quality, most diverse collection of woodworking- related video and educational content available anywhere. The network will initially feature shows previously unavailable anywhere but local PBS stations, foreign networks, or via subscription-based services. These shows include The American Workshop, The Router Workshop and The Great British Workshop.
Additional content, such as Woodworking at Home DVD Magazine, Lie-Nielsen Toolworks Productions, The American Association of Woodturners' Symposium Series, Delta Do-It-Yourself Woodworking Kit, and footage from TWWC's own A Woodworking Experience with Sam Maloof will also be included in the line-up.
Woodworking professionals, hobbyists and weekend enthusiasts around the world will be able to access this streaming-video based programming at any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, TWWC(TM) offers the viewer the ability to identify, research and purchase products as they are watching a show.
Forbes said, "This partnership is another step in our mission to position the Woodcraft brand in front of our customer no matter where they might be located or when they might be practicing their craft."
