Mass in C minor, plus lectures by Peter Schickele & others

NEW YORK, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth, Great Music at St. Bartholomew's Church offers a Holy Week performance of Mass in C Minor, a trio of lectures and more.

St. Bartholomew's Choir, soloists and orchestra of period instruments join forces for Mozart's choral masterpiece during the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth. The program also includes the Solemn Vespers, K. 339 and Ave Verum Corpus.

Why Mozart's "The Man" -- with Peter Schickele (aka P.D.Q. Bach)

Peter Schickele (a.k.a. "P.D.Q. Bach") is internationally recognized as one of the most versatile artists in the field of music. His works are now well in excess of 100 for symphony orchestras, choral groups, chamber ensembles, voice, movies and television.

Admission for each lecture is $10.
