Is a piece of sheet metal worth one-thousand-five-hundred dollars? It is to Golden-Palace-dot-com, especially when it bears the image of Christ and the Virgin Mary.

Hardy's Hardware employee Thomas Haley was unloading supplies when he had to do a double-take at a particular piece of sheet metal because he saw a face staring back at him.

Haley was shocked at what appeared to be the image of Christ and, when the sheet is turned upside-down, the image of the nativity scene complete with the Virgin Mary as well. Haley and his friend Jonathan Jackson showed the sheet to some friends who agreed there was a face visible, although some saw Jim Morrison instead.

Haley decided to sell it on eBay, where it received over one-hundred- twenty-thousand page visits, and was eventually bought by Golden-Palace-dot- com for one-thousand-five-hundred dollars.
