The 3rd Infantry Division and units from Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga., returned from a nearly year-long deployment to Iraq, in January 2006. The Division played a significant role in Operation Iraqi Freedom, toppling Saddam Hussein's regime in combat operations in 2003 and becoming the first Army division to re-deploy to Iraq for the second time in 2005. Half of the soldiers served their second tour in Iraq during 2005, training Iraqis to protect their own country, and ensuring a safe and secure environment to conduct the first-ever democratic elections.

The celebration will include free food, games, music, carnival rides and activities for the entire family. Government officials and senior military leaders are scheduled to be on-hand to salute the returning troops.

A Grammy-nominee and best-selling author, Jeff Foxworthy is best known for his redneck jokes. Born in Georgia, he also hosts a syndicated radio show "The Foxworthy Countdown," which airs in more than 220 markets. A strong supporter of the military, critically acclaimed country artist Chely Wright has visited troops stationed in Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Germany, Afghanistan and Iraq. She also wrote her 2005 hit "The Bumper of My S.U.V.," which struck a cord with service members around the globe. USO tour veteran and one of the most popular radio hosts in the nation, Sean Valentine was nominated for Radio and Records "Personality of the Year," hosts the #1 radio show in Los Angeles and is syndicated nationwide.
