GameTime Participates in Oasis of Hope for Katrina Victims
FORT PAYNE, Ala., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- GameTime was honored to participate in ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as the show transforms a park into an oasis of hope for the people of St. Bernards Parish, LA.
The project has brought a renewed hope to an area just outside New Orleans that was utterly devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Months have passed, and still homes stand as they did after the waters receded. "We are strong, we will come back," promised St. Bernard's Parish President Junior Rodriguez. "This project is a tremendous help."
Says Tom Norquist, Senior Vice President at GameTime, "Since our independent research has shown that play can help children work through emotional trauma, we knew immediately we wanted to help with this project."
This very special episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is currently scheduled to air on your local ABC affiliate on Thursday, April 6th, which will be in addition to the customary Sunday evening program.
