FSN Ohio Programming Note - Spotlight: Jim Thome
FSN Ohio Programming Note - Spotlight: Jim Thome
CLEVELAND, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- FSN Ohio will continue the popular Spotlight series by featuring former Indians superstar, Jim Thome, on Monday April 3 at 7 pm. Hosted by Jeff Phelps, the show will take a candid look at Thome's career, and focus on his days with the Tribe.
Thome will discuss the irony of being back in the American League Central with the Chicago White Sox, the Indians' main competition and fierce rival. He'll talk about his evolution through the Cleveland organization -- going from 21 year-old rookie to elder statesman, his teammates and bosses, the emotional decision to leave the Indians and his pressure-filled time in Philadelphia.
The show will also take a personal look at Thome's family and future, including his plans for wrapping up his MLB career.
One of the key faces of the Indians organization during the great run of the 1990's, Jim Thome left the team via free agency in the winter of 2002 for the Philadelphia Phillies.
After just three years in Philadelphia, including an injury-filled 2005 season, Thome was traded to the White Sox. Now he's back in the American League Central, playing for the defending World Series Champions, near his hometown of Peoria, Illinois.
Spotlight: Jim Thome will re-air on FSN Ohio at the following times:
Tuesday, April 4, 2:00 pm & 10:30 pm
Wednesday, April 5, 7:30 pm
