Seattle Hosts Official Oscar Night(R) Party to Benefit Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation of Washington State

SEATTLE, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- You don't have to walk the red carpet in Hollywood to experience the magic and excitement of Oscar Night(R). On Sunday, March 5, 2006, Seattleites can join the Oscar(R) festivities and watch the 78th Annual Academy Awards(R) at Seattle's own Academy sanctioned Oscar Night America Party, one of 46 official parties held across the country on Oscar Night.

Benefiting Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation of Washington State, the Seattle Oscar Night celebration will be held at The Triple Door in Seattle and hosted by KOMO TV's Todd Johnson and Puget Sound Business Journal columnist Patti Payne. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with champagne reception, silent auction and a telecast of the pre-show Oscar Night arrivals. The Academy Awards(R) ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. with a seated dinner inspired by Wild Ginger. To top off the night, Starlight Starbright will host a spectacular live auction.

Official Oscar Night parties raised over $2.2 million last year for local charities in 44 cities. All money raised benefits the local communities.

Tickets for the Seattle Oscar Night America event at the Triple Door are $125 with all proceeds going to benefit the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation of Washington State.
