GoDaddy.com Locked in Super Bowl Showdown
GoDaddy-dot-com, a registrar of domain names -- and the advertiser censored in last year's Super Bowl commercial controversy -- is in a standoff, stuck waiting for approval to advertise during America's big game. After fourteen revisions and weeks of intense negotiations, the ABC Television network is withholding approval to broadcast a "GoDaddy-Esque" commercial in Super Bowl X-L. Unusual Satellite Transmits Voices of Maryland Students Worldwide
Just before six P-M Friday, the crew aboard the International Space Station will deploy an unusual satellite called "SuitSat." This new satellite will transmit the recorded voices of female students from Silver Spring, Maryland, that anyone with a HAM radio can hear. Frank Bauer of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center explains that SuitSat is a Russian brainstorm. Apparently Russians in the I-S-S program had the idea to turn old spacesuits into useful satellites, and SuitSat is the first test of that idea.
