Comcast Makes Tax-Time Easier With ON DEMAND Program; Experts Offer Practical Tips for Taxpayers
WHITE MARSH, Md., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for tax season, Comcast today begins airing "Tackling Your Taxes," a Maryland Public Television program, ON DEMAND in every community Comcast serves in Maryland. The half-hour informational show will continue to be offered free through April 20, 2006 ON DEMAND under the "Our Town" folder.
This episode of MPT's "Business Connection" features host Jeff Salkin, Jim Dupree from the Internal Revenue Service and Michael Golden from the Maryland Comptroller's office. Maryland Comptroller William Donald Schaefer also offers comments. Topics of discussion range from the latest in tax tips for 2006, electronic filing procedures, EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) and how to find a qualified tax preparer if you're not up to "Tackling Your Taxes" on your own!

This year's tax deadline for Maryland and Washington, D.C. residents is April 18, 2006.
ON DEMAND allows Comcast Digital Cable customers to watch programs according to their own schedules. Customers can select from more than 4,000 program choices including children's shows, movies, sports and other favorites at any hour of the day or night. Shows can be paused, rewound and fast-forwarded using the customer's existing remote control, and stored for up to 24 hours for repeat viewing.
