Soap Opera Icon Thaao Penghlis Signs on to Star in Big Screen Entertainment's Feature Film, 'The Mirror'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Big Screen Entertainment (BULLETIN BOARD: BSEG) has announced the casting of acclaimed actor and soap opera legend, Thaao Penghlis, in their upcoming murder mystery, "The Mirror" set to begin principal photography in February.

Penghlis is best known to television viewers as the villainous "Tony DiMera" from NBC's "Days of Our Lives." In 2005 he was nominated as "Best Villain" by Soap Opera Digest and most recently, won the title of "Best Television Villain" in his home country of Australia.

He is also remembered for his portrayal of Victor Cassadine on the long running soap opera, "General Hospital." He also starred for two seasons as master of disguise "Nicholas Black," on ABC's "Mission Impossible."

He's worked on films such as "Buffalo 66" and "Cool World." His directorial debut, "Going Home" won the Golden Plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival. His next film, "First Degree" premiered at the Austin Film Festival and was nominated for a number of awards on the festival circuit.
