Fears are the topic of the day every Friday the 13th and this Friday the 13th is no exception. As part of the upcoming opening of its newest attraction, "Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue," Disneyland Resort in southern California announced results from its national "What Scares You?" survey conducted by Harris Interactive. When Disneyland asked some of today's hottest celebrities "What Scares You?" they were surprised to learn that "Harry Potter" himself, Daniel Radcliffe, fears clowns while Jennifer Love Hewitt and Serena Williams are still afraid of monsters under their bed! The survey revealed that fifty-six percent of American adults admit they fear, or have feared monsters.

Celebrity Judges Announced for the 2006 Miss America Pageant

The Miss America Organization has announced an N-F-L great, a multi- platinum recording artist, a "Desperate Housewives" star and a fashion guru are among the judges for the 2006 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT.

Jane Kaczmarek ("Malcolm in the Middle"), Brenda Strong ("Desperate Housewives", Miss Arizona 1980), Jerry Rice (NFL receiver), Leeza Gibbons (TV and radio host), Brian McKnight (recording artist), Robert Verdi (fashion expert) and Sharlene Wells Hawkes (Miss America 1985) will all serve as judges for the final night of this year's pageant, which for the first time will be held in Las Vegas.

National Do-Not-Call Registry: Three-Quarters of U.S. Adults Are Registered

The Federal Trade Commission's National Do-Not-Call Registry continues to be successful. A large majority of the U.S. adult population says they have registered and that they have received fewer telemarketing calls. Approximately three-quarters of all U-S adults say that they have signed up for the registry; a significant increase from January 2004 when fifty-seven percent reported that they had registered.

Wal-Mart Resolves to Help Rebuild the Gulf Coast By Donating $2.5 Million to Local Organizations

Wal-Mart Stores has announced that the remainder of the eight-point-five million dollars raised through in-store contributions by customers and associates will be donated to eleven organizations in Louisiana communities impacted by Hurricane Katrina. The donations were collected in three thousand eight hundred Wal-Mart stores and SAM'S CLUBs from September through October 2005. Last fall, six million dollars from the original donations were provided to various relief and rebuilding efforts to assist with immediate needs in the impacted areas.
