Nirvana Tops Rock Music Poll
The votes are in. The Greatest Rock Band of all-time is.... Nirvana. During two-thousand and five, rock music fans voted in the annual RockinTown- dot-com music poll. The tally has been taken every year since RockinTown.com, an online rock music magazine, started in Nineteen-ninety-nine. With over five thousand votes counted, Nirvana walked away with just under thirty-five percent of the vote. Led Zeppelin came in second and the Beatles grabbed the number three spot. Twenty-seven groups or performers were nominated, including Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, Bruce Springsteen, R.E.M. and Pearl Jam. In past years, The Beatles and U-2 have topped the poll. RockinTown.com co-founder Ian Lord feels that the poll shows how perspectives have changed. He says that voting has begun for 2006 and Nirvana already owns a commanding lead. According to Lord, Nirvana still has a major hold on the rock audience and they single-handedly blew away a vapid music scene and put raw passion into their music. Visitors to RockinTown-dot-com voted for their favorite artist from a list of nominees. They could also nominate an act. Fans from all across North America, Europe and even Australia participated.

'The Proposer' Helps Pop the Question in the Northwest
It's every man's worst nightmare, or close to it: Forgetting the ring or not knowing where to hide it during an otherwise flawless wedding proposal. Because rewinding life is not an option, the Northwest's E-E Robbins engagement ring stores are offering customers the services of The Proposer. Sure to turn heads the six-foot-five-inch, handsome gent shows up at just the right time, shepherding the engagement ring in a steel briefcase handcuffed to his arm. Dressed for "I will" success in a black suit, black shirt and black sunglasses, this hero of pre-nuptial nuance arrives at his assigned destination in a Nineteen-fifty-nine Cadillac limousine with fins nearly as tall as the car is long. Look for The Proposer in restaurants, quiet neighborhoods, at parties -- even on city streets wherever the deed goes down. Before you start thinking this dashing fellow has all the right things to say, don't. One thing The Proposer doesn't do is actually propose. In fact, he does none of the talking; he simply presents the ring like clockwork, safely and securely.
