Most Americans Can't Name Any Supreme Court Justices, Says FindLaw.com Survey
In spite of broad, high-profile news coverage of the U-S Supreme Court in the past year, 57 percent of Americans can't name any current U-S Supreme Court justices. According to a new national survey conducted by FindLaw.com, only 43 percent of American adults can name at least one justice who is currently serving on the nation's highest court. The survey results represent a slight improvement over an identical survey conducted in 2003 that found only 35 percent of Americans could name any of the Supreme Court justices who were serving at that time.

Because limbs develop very early in pregnancy, the effect may occur even before a woman knows she is pregnant. This information was released by the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

National Survey of 350 Preschool Teachers Finds Social Skills Trump Academic Abilities

In fact, parents who focus too much on academic and technical skills like number and letter recognition in preschool-aged children may inadvertently be overlooking the fundamental building blocks toddlers need to get along with others and do well in school, according to a national survey of 350 preschool teachers conducted by Horizon Research Corporation. The issue, according to 80 percent of the preschool teachers surveyed, is that parents need support and guidance when it comes to learning how their children develop, and are overemphasizing scholastic skills versus social development.
