Popular Rocket Mobile Applications Go Live on MetroPCS

Titles Will Include Well-known Favorites Song IDentity and National Geographic Wallpapers

LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocket Mobile(R), a leading provider of mobile phone software, today announced the availability of a suite of highly entertaining and award-winning mobile applications available through MetroPCS Communications, Inc., a wireless service provider offering unlimited anytime local and domestic long distance calls with no contract. The applications, developed for QUALCOMM'S BREW(R) solution, include the extremely popular Song IDentity, National Geographic Wallpapers, iNDie Music and MobileExpense.

Song IDentity allows users to recognize music anywhere by placing their mobile phone to a music source. A short sample is recorded and then sent to a server for recognition. The user will immediately receive results on their mobile phone with the artist, track and album title. If a ringtone is available, the user can purchase it to set as their ringer.

Customers of MetroPCS can also purchase iNDie Music, which provides the best of independent labels from around the world. It offers one of the broadest varieties for independent music ringers, including punk rock, hip hop, house, turntablism, rock and everything in between.

The National Geographic Wallpapers application provides access to award- winning photographs from the National Geographic Society's Image Collections. Users can browse and download images from several categories including Animals, Places, Nature, People and more.

For the mobile business user, MetroPCS has made available Rocket Mobile's MobileExpense application. With MobileExpense users can easily create and manage expense reports by entering expense items directly into their phone. Completed expense reports can be sent to any email address in multiple formats, including text and HTML. Additionally, XML or comma-delimited versions of the expense report can be attached for importing into expense report spreadsheet templates.
