Majesco Entertainment Company Announces Change of Time and Date for Earnings Release and Call

EDISON, N.J., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ:COOL), today announced that the Company has changed the time and date of its earnings announcement and conference call. The call was previously scheduled for Thursday, January 12, at 5:00 PM EST. Management now plans to release its unaudited fourth quarter and year-end 2005 financial results after market close on Wednesday, January 18, 2006. At 5:00 PM EST that same day, management will hold a conference call to announce the results.

In addition, the Company expects to file for an extension of the period of time to file its Annual Report on Form 10-K pursuant to Rule 12b-25 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The extension will allow for an additional 15 calendar days beyond January 17, 2006, to file. The Company anticipates filing within the extension period. The Company stated that the additional time required is a result of the significant requirements imposed on public companies in complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and to allow for further time to complete its Annual Report on Form 10-K.
