Harmonie Park Heats Up Detroit During Super Bowl Week

Live Entertainment, Music and Restaurants Just Minutes Away from Ford Field

DETROIT, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit residents and visitors won't have to go far to enjoy live entertainment, music and great dining options during the week leading up to the Super Bowl. Harmonie Park Live, an exciting downtown district just a short walk away from Ford Field, offers daily indoor and outdoor entertainment.

Area businesses have joined together to plan the week-long festivities, which will run from late morning through evening the week before the Super Bowl.

The Annual Winter Jazz Festival, sponsored by The Rhino, offers great outdoor entertainment -- in a heated tent -- just steps away from Ford Field. The festival features jazz, other entertainment, food and drinks from Jan. 31 through Feb. 5, starting in the early afternoon and running through the evening. Hunter House/Hilton Garden Inn (351 Gratiot) will offer a second heated outdoor tent in the district that covers the entire parking lot. The tent will feature an 80-foot bar and DJs spinning each night from Feb. 1 through Feb. 5. Call 313-965-0265 for more information about the Hilton's tent.

For those who would rather celebrate the Super Bowl indoors, Lola's (1427 Randolph, 313-962-0483) will feature live music. Live@Lola's will kick off on Feb. 3 with Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Recording Artist, Nicci Gilbert, hosting an R&B jam session. Straight Ahead, an all female jazz ensemble, will appear on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Coach's Corner of Detroit (1465 Centre) will also feature live entertainment daily, as well as a happy hour all week from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and eleven big screens for game watching. Coach's Corner will hold a Super Bowl party on Feb. 5. Call 313-963-4000 for tickets.

Harmonie Park, located on Randolph St. between Madison and Gratiot, is made up of several restaurants, shops and businesses that surround a central park.
