2005/2006 Marks the 25th Anniversary of Jerry Barnett Entertainment (JBE)/ Moments Notice (MN)
DENVER, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- In 1980, the ideals of providing the finest in entertainment to the Rocky Mountain Region began to spread through Denver, then Colorado and throughout the United States. At the insistence of clients who wanted a wide variety of music for special events, Jerry Barnett, a public schools music teacher, created the Moments Notice Band.
Today JBE/MN produces six variety party bands. The bands perform both nationally and internationally performing for such prestigious events as the Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City and the Groesvner House in London.
On December 10, 2005, The Jerry Barnett Platinum Orchestra celebrated the 25th Anniversary for JBE/MN with a renowned performance in Tuscon, Arizona benefiting the Angel Charity Ball.
So, how do you celebrate 25 years of dancing to the music? With more dancing, of course. In a whole new direction.
In 2005, the Jerry Barnett Legacy Arts Fund, a non-profit organization designed to give back to the community through grants, education (scholarships) and a mentoring program, was founded. The Jerry Barnett Legacy Arts Fund will grow out of the relationships and the energy that have been developed over the last 25 years.
In a recent press conference, Jerry Barnett was quoted saying "The community has entrusted us with some of the most important moments of their lives -- celebrations, weddings, and events of all kinds -- and we've had some great times together. Now we're inviting you to share in a different kind of celebration, making music and the arts accessible to everyone in our community, particularly needy children, and others who have no access to the arts with not much to celebrate under ordinary circumstances."
With a mission to give back to the arts community with funding for educational and professional services and opportunities.
This is an exciting time for all of us at Jerry Barnett Entertainment/Moments Notice. We are thrilled to embark on a new venture which will benefit not only the Denver Metro community, but will benefit Colorado and across the nation."
On February 11, 2006 at The Westin Tabor Center, The Jerry Barnett Legacy Fund will be unveiled at a Black Tie or Oz-like event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc.
JBE/MN will remain dedicated to promoting high ethical standards in the event industry and furthering its quest for quality and excellence.
