Procter & Gamble Puts Out a Hit With Music Downloading on Home Made Simple(R) Website

Home Made Simple, online newsletter and website, adds music downloading to provide an easy way to use technology and provide motivation for DIY tasks

CINCINNATI, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) will add music downloading to its online newsletter and website, Home Made Simple(R), www.homemadesimple.com, starting December 2005.

Home Made Simple, launched in 2000, is an online information center and monthly newsletter which features fun and informative articles about how to create the home you love to live in. Subscribers to the free monthly e- newsletter are among the first to know about innovative home projects and can even buy new homecare products months before they are in stores.

Home Made Simple will leverage new technology from PassAlong Networks to bring the new music downloading platform, Julie's Jukebox, to life. The PassAlong system will make the music downloading process easier for everyone who feels that selecting and sharing music can be confusing and difficult.

Home Made Simple will allow Julie's Jukebox subscribers to have access to a music catalog of more than 1 million songs from major record labels. Home Made Simple's music selections will be coordinated to complement the theme of each newsletter article. Visitors can download individual songs or entire playlists for only $0.99 per download, share music with friends and earn valuable music purchasing points along the way.

A recent study conducted by Starcom MediaVest of 1,199 women age 18-49, revealed that behind work, sleep and family, time on the internet is most important in women's lives. Women also look to the internet to keep them aware of new trends, searching entertainment and music sites 60 percent of the time.

2. Included in every section is a showcase of music that compliments the
article. Readers can download the music selections for $.99 per song.
The music will inspire and motivate them to do one of Home Made
Simple's easy tasks.

3. Home Made Simple readers can pass the songs along to their friends via
email or instant messenger with a preview of each song attached. Home
Made Simple reader's friends can purchase the songs for $.99, earning
points toward purchase for the friend who passed the song.

4. Home Made Simple readers can also purchase points for their friends as
a gift so their friends can downloads songs.
