Complete CN8 Lineup Now Available Throughout Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CN8, The Comcast Network and Time Warner Cable today announced that CN8, The Comcast Network, will be added to the channel lineup of the Time Warner/Urban CableWorks system in the City of Philadelphia, serving customers in the Manayunk, Roxborough, West Philadelphia, East Falls and University City areas. Time Warner will make CN8 available on channel 8, beginning December 21, providing access for all Time Warner basic subscribers to CN8's complete 24-hour diverse programming lineup. The agreement comes as a result of the continued work of Councilman Michael Nutter, who raised the idea during recent cable public hearings.

"CN8 provides extremely valuable, informative and entertaining programming, and I know my constituents will be delighted that they can now view the quality local, regional and national content that Comcast subscribers in Philadelphia have been enjoying for years," said Councilman Nutter. "I want to thank Comcast for its cooperation in providing CN8 for all Philadelphians to enjoy."
"Demand for CN8's unique brand of locally produced interactive television, regional news, entertainment and sports programming has been so well received, and we are excited to welcome Time Warner customers to the CN8 viewing audience," said Michael Doyle, president, Comcast Cable Eastern Division and founder, CN8, The Comcast Network. "When we launched CN8 almost 10 years ago, we had a vision of its potential - that vision is now a reality, and we continue to reshape and revolutionize regional cable networks and their local significance."
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide an increase in local and regional programming to our customers," said Regina Martin, general manager, Time Warner Cable.
The addition further strengthens CN8's position as the nation's leading regional cable network. In June, CN8 was launched in Pittsburgh - its 10th market. The network is seen in more than seven million homes in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Hartford-New Haven, Harrisburg, Providence, Springfield, and Salisbury.
CN8 is a 24-hour diversified television network offering 75 hours of original programming per week. The network has received 241 Emmy nominations, making it one of the most lauded regional cable networks in the country.
